Xbox One S ping spikes

Hello everyone this is gonna be a long-winded story, so brace yourselves.

I got my One S in June or July of this year and everything was going okay until around mid-September. Since then I've gotten ping spikes. They're usually between 100-2000ms, but they vary. At first it was every once in a while, and then it became every few
days, then every other day, to every day, to every other hour, to now the point where it happens literally 2-3 times an hour. When this happens I lag in parties, games, and apps. I sometimes even disconnect from the parties and have to rejoin them.

At first i just assumed it was my wifi, so I went hardwired and got a powerline. I still lagged. So then I said screw it and connected to my router directly, still lagged. So I assumed it was my modem, just to make sure I connected to it and played that
way for a while. I lagged then so I thought for sure I'd had the problem. Again I still lagged. I swapped my modem after that and that didn't fix it. Then I said oh well my router's a few years old and got a new one too. After I still lagged I swapped out
the ethernet cord connecting the devices.

After still having the same issue I decided to just only have my xbox connected to the wifi, and tried that and it still didn't work. Went back to just being connected to the new modem only and that still didn't work either. Then I called up my ISP and they
told me nothing was looking wrong with the signals on their end aside from me getting more upload than I should get, but sent a tech out anyway. He didn't find anything wrong.

So then I chatted with xbox support and we've done some troubleshooting. I reset my xbox to factory settings keeping my games and apps, and that didn't do anything at all. Then we performed a ping test just to see if this was happening on other devices so
I set up my computer to do a ping test while I was playing, pinging Bing and the ping didn't increase.

After talking with support some more we decided to just completely replace the xbox one S for a refurbed one. Which is also having the same exact issue after about two hours of use.

Some other stuff I've done various times that doesn't fix it: I've set a manual IP, and changed my DNS to use Google DNS, performed a total factory reset. Prioritized the xbox one S in the router settings.

And additional info

My old modem and router were an **** 6183 and an ASUS TM-AC1900.

My new modem and router are a Netgear CM600 and Google Wifi

My ISP is Spectrum (formally charter)

Middle Tennessee area 100down/10 up ping on most other devices is around 30 but usually less.

I'm no longer in the preview program, I thought maybe it was related to it so I left.

This seems to happen with any game I play.

If anyone has any advice on how to fix this I'm all ears at this point, because I can't think of anything I haven't tried but I'm still willing to keep giving it a go.

Thanks for reaching out! Based on what information you've given us so far, I'd recommend what OK Fowl did, which is our

slow performance solution for situations like this, or use a straight up Ethernet connection instead of wireless. If you try all the options in that wizard and are still experiencing ping spikes, you may wish to
contact Xbox Support directly to chat with a virtual agent in real time or request a call back via phone.

Ping Spikes

I've been dealing with frequent online multiplayer ping spikes on the Xbox One X and can't seem to pinpoint what's causing them. Multiplayer games played on my PlayStation 4 don't leave me with the same experience, so it seems like it's isolated to Xbox.
These spikes also occurred on my Xbox One under two different routers. Given how my primary use for the service is competitive gaming, this is quite infuriating. Interruptions are either two seconds or ten seconds long. Here's some network-related info:

Download Speed: ~65mbps

Upload Speed: ~6mbps

Wireless Strength: 100%

IPv4 & IPv6

NAT: Open

ISP: Charter Spectrum

Router: Netgear R7800

How can this be fixed? Please note a wired connection is not an option. Also, my console is in the Insider program.
