Xbox One S Performance/Graphics Issue.

Hi, I've recently been playing on my Xbox One S and noticed a significant downfall in my FPS, especially newer titles. I had played these titles before with no issues (This was about 7mnths-1yr ago). But now it drops to around 10 FPS in the same games, also the graphics look terrible, It's definitely not my output or my resolution as I'm playing on 1440P currently but it still doesn't fix anything.

I understand you need help with fps drop on your console.

Does it also happen even when playing games offline?

Try doing a reset on your Xbox and see if this helps:
Let's refresh the console's system cache.

NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select Settings.
3. Select System.
4. Select Console info
5. Select Reset console.
6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

This will also help sync the data on your console properly.

Thank you so much for your help, though there wasn’t much difference it definitely did help my console a bit. I understand that the console is probably outdated at this point and main direction going to the new gen consoles, so I’ll most likely be getting a newer console very soon or getting into PC gaming. Thank you for your help again!

Yeah, the console doesn’t really make a difference with the resolution although I do have a 4K Tv there’s not much resemblance as I assume the One S only partly supports 4K resolution.

Obsessive Power

The Xbox One S (which was released in 2016) is a 1080P console. Playing your games at 1440P on the last gen console isn't going to make them look better.

the xbox one x is graphically better, the S is ok but don't expect the same performance as a series x.
