Xbox one S only turning on for a bit without display then turns itself off after 1min.

This is my sons xbox 1 s, it's not turning onto display ,it's only 2 years old, I have unplugged it all given it a dust left it for 30 sec ,plugged all back in same thing.

The controller turns it on no problem its just not displaying anything to the tv and its like it gives up after 1 min ,controller flashing the whole time then it turns off completely again.

Tried the xbox support auto questions no luck ...trying here next ...please help anyone??

the two things i can think of have been mentioned here. Could be the hdmi port (without the signal going through, it could be shutting down) or power issue/overheat issue. Only thing i would try to see if the hdmi is working at all is turn the xbox and controller
on, move the joystick around and see if the audio cues for moving from tile to tile are still working. Still contact support but it gives them a better handle on how to troubleshoot from their end as well

IF the advice given is of no help, then you have a bad HDMI port or graphics adapter, which will require you to send it in to MS for service. If you did not get an extended warranty and are out of the warranty period, you will likely be charged around
$180 for this service. Your alternative is to sell the item as defective on eBay or some other platform, and buy a new console in its place. Im sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Hopefully following the advice here has helped and this is not the case, however
if the advice here was followed and it is still not working, this is likely going to be your issue. Good Luck.

Hi I've tried all of your above suggestions, spoken with other gamers and support, tried a reset by using the Bind button and eject holding down after while I turn on the xbox power buttons ,listened for beeps ...didn't happen, I tried that numerous times
,asked my partner who is a pc gamer to do the same and check I wasnt doing it wrong . Its definitely broken needs repairing.

Its about 3 years old now so out of warranty.

It will cost £170 to exchange for a working one with Microsoft or I can take it to my local CeX (im in UK )get it fixed and it will be covered under their warranty for a further 2 years for the cost of £60-80 so I know what I'm going to do.
