    XBOX ONE S - OneGuide issue


    OneGuide issue (XBOX ONE S)

    I try and watch live TV on my xbone and sometimes I will just get a REALLY loud static noise. It happens randomly, and sometimes the only way to fix it is to mute, and unmute the sound, other times it fixes itself after a short second of static (louder than normal Xbox sound) Can anybody fix this?

    I am pretty unsure about how and why this is happening, but I know it only starting happening when I starting using my cable tv with the Xbox.

    Some people are saying I need to change the audio to digital, but my TV does not have that option.

    Hey there GoMaizeNblue,

    To clarify, Xbox One doesn't support CEC. The Xbox One S has a built in Blaster that will work if a Kinect is not connected as well. :)

    If you'd like to see CEC supported, we'd recommend you to leave Feedback about that
    HERE.

    What steps have you tried already with this issue? For starters we'd recommend resetting up OneGuide to see if it helps out and this guide will assist with that.

    Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Do you mean that your Media Remote for Xbox One is not controlling certain features of your TV. Is this an Official Microsoft first party product? Please provide us with a little more information regarding
    this issue. You may want to contact the manufacturer of the TV itself to check about compatibility. Here is a helpful support article regarding this situation.

    Set up live TV with your Xbox One X, Xbox One S, or original Xbox One console.     or

    Watch TV with OneGuide on your Xbox One

    Note: OneGuide only supports a limited set of features or menus on set-top boxes. You’ll have to use your remote to access other features on your set-top box.
