Xbox one s not working with Direct TV

    Xbox one s not working with Direct TV


    I bought a new Xbox One S and tried to use to the Live TV feature but it is not working. Here is my setup:

    Direct TV box HDMI out into Xbox One S HDMI in

    Xbox One S HDMI out into AV Receiver

    The Xbox itself works fine if I play games or any other function but when I try to set up live TV, the picture starts to flicker constantly. I'm not getting any picture within the small TV box within the setup tool nor am i getting the One Guide. It just
    starts to flicker when i try this.

    I have already tried replacing the HDMI cables and changing the settings of my Samsung 1080p TV.

    I've spend hours trying to figure this out- if I cant get a satisfactory answer here, I'm going to return the Xbox.

    I have the same problem and it's July 9, 2014. Still no fix?

    4K HDR help

    So i fixed it. after some trial and error, i figured i would disconnect the 4k hdmi splitter i have. my tv has 2 ports,ps4 was direct. where as switch and xbox one s were connected to that splitter that was connected to the tv.

    so did direct xbox to tv and voila. worked.

    so that now leads to anyone know a good hdmi splitter?

    this was off amazon and called 4K HDMi 5 to 1. clearly it didnt do its job well as it cut out direct 4k feed capabilities.

    I know this sounds crazy had similar issue, so i kept my hdmi plugged in but i also plugged in the old red white and yellow cables direct from cable box to tv. seems to have fixed the issue i am watching tv fine now. I have att uverse

    I`ll have to try that. The Xbox will give me audio, but no video for about 10 minutes. Then the video will kick in. The Xbox still won`t turn the Directv box off or on. Maybe a fix will come.

    Hi, this may or may not work for you but I just spoke with someone who had this no picture issue with Directv and his Xbox One, he swapped out the HDMI cable for another HDMI cable and it started working.
