Xbox One S not turning on, only chime sound then turn off.

I understand you need help on your Xbox console problem.

Please try doing this and see how it goes:

NOTE: This will delete the profiles on your account, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

- Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.

- Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

- Wait 30 seconds.

- Plug the power cord back in on another outlet.

- Press and hold the BIND button (the one to SYNC controllers) and the EJECT button, and then press the Xbox button on the console.

- Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.

- Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart.

Note: If you don't hear two power-up tones after 15 seconds, it means this failed. Likewise, if you hear any “power-down” chirps, that also means this failed.

- You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

- The console should start and show the Troubleshooting screen

- Choose "Reset this Xbox" and then "Keep games and apps".

If that does not help, try using another outlet as this might already be a power issue with the console and if that does not help either, I would already say that the console is having a hardware issue and needs repair.

New problem. When I did this, the game launched, and when it launched I started up a game of casual, and when I loaded into the game, my Xbox completely shut off on me. This was also happening when I was in the tutorial stage of the game. The Xbox completely turned off 3 times before this 4th occurrence.

Anyway to fix it? It is currently on my internal storage drive, and I am playing on an Xbox One S. I just want to play the game and my Xbox keeps shutting off.

Also when it is turning off, I turn it back on, and it chimes and I have the chime feature off on my Xbox, and the chime makes a very scratchy Xbox on sound also, just thought I should throw that in there.

For the startup chime: Settings>Power & Startup>Power mode & startup>Startup chime>Off

The only thing to do about the menu sounds is turn down your master/tv volume.

Is the console only making the sound when you switch it on and off?

If so then you just need to go into the setting to turn this feature off. To turn the feature off press the Xbox Button on the controller then select the System tab / Setting / Power & startup / Power mode & startup and under options on the left you will
see Statup chime where you can turn this feature off.

To turn it off go to:

Xbox One's Settings: Power & Startup menu. Users who don't want to hear the chime can turn it off. There's also the
option to hear the chime only if it is powered on at the console itself or by voice command, not with the controller button.
