All Xbox 360 S models, standard models and special editions, will make a sound when using the touch sensitive Power and Eject buttons. If these chimes have stopped working on your console, try unplugging the console's power supply for 24 hours. Let us know

sounds like some capacitors in hardware, does it still occur when u trun on xbox ?

This is a very odd question to say the least since technically this should be impossible if the console is not plugged in and the only audible sound the console makes is the power up/down tone besides the cooling system when it turns on. The notification
sound you are referring to is processed through the Xbox when it is powered on and when you receive a notification, but the audible sound is emitted from your display's speakers or headset, it does not come directly from the console hardware. Also, the controller
does not make any sound when you turn it on. If you happen to plug it into the Xbox while it's off, the controller will turn on and then force the Xbox to turn on, making the power up tone you normally hear when the Xbox turns on.

Needless to say that isn't normal because it shouldn't be possible if it is not plugged in and powered on, but essentially it's up to you what you want to do with the console.

What kind of sound?,this is actually normal,i got a xbox one S too and make like a little click sounds when is off(with the insta on off),i'm aware all the xbox one "S" make this particular noise,so if your hardware runs ok you should be not be worry about
