    My xbox one S is making a odd high-pitched sound and the only other time I hear this exact sound is when it is unplugged while in instant on mode or when it is shut down by holding down the power button until it turns off.

    I already had it repaired and it was replaced because of a disc drive failure and is this another issue I should worry about?

    Powerbrick making a low wailing sound when off.

    Hi,

    So I have only recently noticed this but my Xbox One Power brick makes a wailing sound when the xbox is off. (Orange light)

    It sounds like a burgular alarm it very annoying. It does stop when unplugged.

    Any suggestions? Thanks.

    Not Able to Select Profiles (Update Problem?)

    I power cycled three times and one power cycle was also when I unplugged everthing after the cycle sadly no change

    My Xbox 360 S does not make sound

    All Xbox 360 S models, standard models and special editions, will make a sound when using the touch sensitive Power and Eject buttons. If these chimes have stopped working on your console, try unplugging the console's power supply for 24 hours. Let us know
    if that helps.

    sounds like some capacitors in hardware, does it still occur when u trun on xbox ?

    Thank you for coming to the Xbox forums.

    This is a very odd question to say the least since technically this should be impossible if the console is not plugged in and the only audible sound the console makes is the power up/down tone besides the cooling system when it turns on. The notification
    sound you are referring to is processed through the Xbox when it is powered on and when you receive a notification, but the audible sound is emitted from your display's speakers or headset, it does not come directly from the console hardware. Also, the controller
    does not make any sound when you turn it on. If you happen to plug it into the Xbox while it's off, the controller will turn on and then force the Xbox to turn on, making the power up tone you normally hear when the Xbox turns on.

    Needless to say that isn't normal because it shouldn't be possible if it is not plugged in and powered on, but essentially it's up to you what you want to do with the console.

    What kind of sound?,this is actually normal,i got a xbox one S too and make like a little click sounds when is off(with the insta on off),i'm aware all the xbox one "S" make this particular noise,so if your hardware runs ok you should be not be worry about
