Xbox one S making noises while off.

I have owned two Xbox ones. Both have made noises while off, in energy saving mode. The answer usually appears to be, that the noises come from energy saving mode. Even in energy saving mode the noises are made, in both my Xbox's. My new Xbox slim that I just purchased from Gamestop, barely makes a fan spinning or gear turning noise, while off. I can easily deal with this problem, if I were just to be told that it is normal. I'm just being cautious, to make sure it doesn't catch on fire, while I am gone somewhere. Like, I said if this is just a normal thing that happens, I can easily deal with it. Because both Xbox's made this noise, I highly doubt I were to purchase a new one from Gamestop, with the same problem. I have a feeling this is normal but I don't know. Like I said, I just want to know if it is normal.

So yeah, the console is not supposed to make any high pitched sounds at all.

If changing your power mode doesn't help, it could be very well that there is a mechanical issue with your console and you might want to talk to support about your repair options for it.

Hi, it's possible your power settings are set to instant on. When that is on the Xbox is only in standby mode, so the fan will still move and sometimes may make a noise. If you don't want that, then change the power setting to power saving mode, and that
will completely turn the Xbox off.

@StuartATrueRed is correct and I will just add. Depending on your power settings, you might have it set to turn off when activity is done. Some activities would be, downloading a game or an update.
