    Xbox one s makes startup sound but will not boot.


    Hello,

    My Xbox one s has been experiencing an issue where, on pressing the power button, it makes the regular sound but then quickly turns off and never displays anything on screen.

    I’ve tried many fixes but none work. If anyone knows something that would be helpful then please respond,

    Thank you so much for the detailed information and I apologize for the trouble. Is your console plugged in directly on a wall socket or a power strip/surge?

    Also, please use a different wall socket and make sure that the cables are securely plugged in. After that, try again. If you also have an external hard drive plugged into your console, kindly unplug it because a corrupted hard drive may cause issues as well.

    Microsoft haven't said it is. I believe the green Xbox One startup screen will stay, and the Xbox Series X/S will get the new Xbox boot up screen.

    I'm an Xbox Ambassador and I'll try to help out in any way I can. One quick qustion....are you part of the insider program on your console? I ask only because I had this issue a while back with my One X, took it off the Program and everything returned to normal. This also coincided with constantly having the console asking for these random 68MB updates over and over again.

    However, I have been getting updates the last few times I got it to startup. Is there a way to check on my computer?
