    Xbox One S HDD Buzz


    Hey everyone, sorry if this is more Support than discussion, but I'm trying to figure out if my brand new Xbox One S is defective or not. It seems like the HDD is making a constant buzzing sound. No louder than my fridge would make, but considering its
    brand new, SHOULD this happen or do I have a defective unit? The noise occurs with or without a disc in, only when turned on, and is NOT the clicking/bad fan type of noise - from five feet away, it is clearly audible. It sounds to me like the old external
    hard drives that used to make noise when running.

    Hello . When I turn off the xbox one, it buzzes at the power or ventilation point. It is normal?

    HDD died

    Last night my HDD on my Xbox one S died and the console is out of warranty.

    I have a new HDD but I need to know how to get the OS for my Xbox one S onto the new HDD ?

    got the same problem, on my third right now. kinect free as well. have discussed to ms customer service, they only say that i should go and replace it, they say faulty components and such, so a bug fix wouldn't help

    I have the same problem exactly, only not a buzzing noise. It's more of a clicking clickity noise. Sounds kind of like a busy hard drive but I am not sure if that's what it is. Doesn't help if you are in apps like Netflix. Only starting a game stops the
    noise. Very weird. Bought this console 3 days ago. Mine is Kinect free as well.
