    Xbox one S factory reset black screen


    Hi,

    Hoping someone can help me please? My son's Xbox has been freezing and crashing repeatedly for weeks. No pattern to it.

    We did a hard reset by pressing the two buttons and powering on, but that did not solve the issue so we have now selected to do a factory reset, I did this by selecting

    Profile & system>settings>system>console info>reset>reset and remove everything

    The power light to the console is still on but there is no signal to the TV so I looking at a black screen. Can anyone give me an idea of how long this process might take and how I will know it has been successful?

    Complete novice here and really struggling with a very upset 10 year old!

    Did the reset console with leave games and apps. Console powered itself off.

    When I turned it back on, screen said it was preparing the console and then the signal between the console and the TV was lost and the console powered itself off.

    I tried to power it back on, came up preparing console again, it is now stuck at 61%

    I'm afraid not - replacement hard drive at CEX repair and in the end we bought a Series X
