Xbox one s energy saving mode acting like instant on.

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. For this type of issue/bug, I recommend performing a

soft factory reset. This will reset the operating system and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps. You will have to re-sign into your account, so make sure you know the email and password to your account.
This is the same for all accounts on the Xbox.

Please note that if you are part of the preview program, you should
report this issue through the insider hub, as well as to the insider reddit.

If you’re ready to reset your console to the factory default settings, follow these steps:

1. Press the Xbox button
   to open the guide.
2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.
3. Select Reset console.

threre s a lot people having this problem i haven t this problem yet on my xbox one console but i will keep close eye on my xbox one. if your xbox one is on instant on mode try to put your xbox one on energy saving mode. the reason why i havent
this problem because my xbox one is on energy saving mode.

That's an interesting problem for sure. Is your console in Instant On mode or Energy Saving mode? It's possible the console is downloading updates so it appears to be on. Is this an Xbox One S console or an original Xbox One console?

I'm just curious if you (Slayer Fan & Kermit) have your XBOX One set up in energy saving mode, or instant on?

The only thing that works for me is keeping it in energy saver mode which really sucks. I have a day one console as well although I've never had issues with different channels, just the freezing, and it acting like there is no HDMI cable plugged in.

If you have your Xbox One on instant on mode turn it to energy saving mode instead. Instant on causes alot of problems with networks.
