Xbox One S don't connect with windows 10 xbox app with ethernet connection

Good morning guys,

I have a problem with the connection beetwen xbox one and windows 10 xbox app.

When the xbox have a wireless connection all function is on. I can make a stream with windows 10 and xbox one.

But if the xbox one have a ethernet connection (also windows is under ethernet connection) windows 10 don't see the xbox one.

I receive alwayse the same answer: please verify if your xbox one and pc is under the same connection.

I have already verify the connection for both but nothing change.

Anyone have a answer for me?

Hello, sometimes it can happen this problem must be fooled by connecting the Ethernet cable to the console to the PC or exiting the Xbox app from PC and re-entering and resetting the console's IP etc.

Can you check if your network profiles are correct (or the same) on your windows 10 device ?

Network profiles can be different between multiple network devices.

Wifi is maybe set on private network while the cabled network is set on public (just an example)

Yep, both have the same profiles. Both are connected by cable network on the same profiles.

Update: the same error occurred when I try to connect my iPhone to Xbox with the app. If the xbox one is under wifi network all works, but if the xbox one is under cable network iPhone don't see the xbox one connected.

Yep, both have the same profiles. Both are connected by cable network on the same profiles.

You may need to manually input the IP address of the console into the Xbox app on the PC if the console is not being detected.

On the app, you can go to the Connect panel and if it doesn't connect you can manually put in the console's IP address into the following text box. This guide should help you troubleshoot game streaming issues:

Try a different or new ethernet cable or try to only have the Xbox connected via Ethernet but leave the PC connected wireless.
