    Xbox One S doesn't work after update. Factory reset didn't help.


    My Xbox One S sends me to the "Something went Wrong" screen. I let my xbox sit overnight unplugged, I tried doing an offline update, in which what happens is that it downloads (from the USB), then when it gets to 100% verifying it shuts off, then after like 3 seconds it turns on again, and shows 100% verifying, then again to the "Something went Wrong" screen (idk if this is important but it make 2 dings when i select offline update). I tried to reset it (keeping Games & Apps) and it just turns off and then turns on to 100% verifying and then the "Something went Wrong" screen. I then tried to factory reset it and it's still the same. Is there anything else I can do? Or can i only do a factory reset and hope for the best. And if that is the case is there any way to get my data off my xbox (just game progress, idc about the games)?

    after a soft factory reset that didn't do anything. I'm not gonna full factory reset because there's a high chance that's not gonna work either. Give me a fix that doesn't have anything to do with deleting games.

    I understand, have you performed factory reset on both consoles? If not yet, please try to perform the factory reset keep my games and apps on your Xbox One S console > then check if it works.

    If it still doesn't work, may I have the exact error message upon attempting to log in to your accounts on your Xbox One S, please?

    Hi there,

    The Insider Program is where you enroll your Xbox to test preview updates before they go live. Since the factory reset did not work, I suggest uninstalling and then re-installing the apps that are not working.

    If that doesn't help and the hard reset and power cycle did not help, then you may need to keep trying a factory reset until the apps begin to work.

    You can report problems through the Xbox Insider Hub App since this seems to have happened after your Xbox updated.

    That's odd! If you haven't yet, let's start with a
    power cycle     of your Xbox One S console. If the issue persists after that, I would recommend a

    factory reset     of your console, beginning with the "keep my games and apps" option. And if that still doesn't help the issue, I would suggest attempting a full factory reset.

    Let us know what, if anything, helps resolve the issue!
