    Xbox One S doesn't work after system update (I'm part of the beta previews)


    My Xbox One S sends me to the "Something went Wrong" screen. I let my Xbox sit overnight unplugged, I tried doing an offline update, in which what happens is that it downloads (from the USB), then when it gets to 100% verifying it shuts off, then after like 3 seconds it turns on again, and shows 100% verifying, then again to the "Something went Wrong" screen (idk if this is important but it make 2 dings when i select offline update). I tried to reset it (keeping Games & Apps) and it just turns off and then turns on to 100% verifying and then the "Something went Wrong" screen. Is there anything else I can do? Or can i only do a factory reset and hope for the best. And if that is the case is there any way to get my data off my Xbox (just game progress, idc about the games)?

    HI there,

    In addition to the advice in this thread, can I ask if you are a part of the Xbox Preview Program? Sometimes after one of the program's beta testing flights/ system updates, this can happen with game updates.

    I do believe this is a known issue and is being worked on for the next software update. I'm part of the update preview beta testing program, and I do recall seeing this issue (or one extremely similar) on the list of known issues being worked on.

    I'm having the same trouble with Tacoma on my Xbox One S... stuck on the Press A to start. This is after two hard resets and logging in and out of Xbox Live. I am on a preview build but not sure which one (system is fully updated).
