Xbox One S crashing, freezing, running slow, will not run games.

I've had my Xbox for a little over 3 years. It was running fine until July of 2021. One day I hopped on to fame with a few friends and my system was running slow as well as crashing. I was only able to get 2 digital downloaded games to play without the system acting up. I've been all over the web and have tried every possible troubleshoot to fix my Xbox, but it still refuses to work. I'm curious if there is anything i can possibly do to fix my system so i can get back to gaming. I don't want to spend lots of money to take this to a repair shop if I can fix this at home.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

Since this is happening with multiple games we need to perform a reset keeping your games and apps. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

It's possible as alot of gamers all over the internets complaining the latest newer games don't run too well on the old school 360's. I have an S model and have not had it freeze or crash my console.

I'm not super familiar with how minecraft runs on certain devices and such but I'd do some research into it and see how it runs on other iPhone 7's like if it's slow and laggy and others crash alot to maybe it's not very compatible with the specific model

I would like you to go through the following steps to clear the Mac address and then perform a quick power cycle on your console:

Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox:

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.
