If you have an Xbox One S or an Xbox One X, you can use its power cord with your new console. The power cord from the original Xbox One would not work with a Series S/X console.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. Sorry for the issue with your power cord. Sounds like the plug that is on the console is wore out. This would cause it to fall out if tapped. You may want to think on getting the console repaired. You can set one up
on
device support. Before doing this if you know a friend or family member with an Xbox one S you can try their cord. If it does the same its the port on the console that is wore out.

It shouldn't fall out of the console if you make sure you have pushed the cable in all the way into the console socket. It should be firmly pushed in and effort is required to take it out.

The Xbox One S is multi voltage so you can use any "figure of 8" power cord with a Xbox One S as long as it matches the power outlets of your country.
