Xbox One S Controller Stopped Connecting via Bluetooth

I have two Xbox One S controllers that I use with my PC running the latest update of Windows 10. One controller is a newer Recon Tech edition, and the controller in question is the standard black; both are the One S variant of controllers.

I've been using the black controller for about a year on my Xbox One S (which I no longer own) and on various PCs, and even on my Galaxy S8 (which I also no longer own). Fast forward to about March of this year, I get on my PC to play some games and turn
on my controller, but find that it is not connected. I go to connect it in the bluetooth settings, but the controller refuses to come up. I remove both of my controllers so that I could reconnect them. Only the Recon Tech controller is detected. The black
controller fails to show up.

I didn't do much about it and just used the controller by connecting it directly into my computer no problem, and hoped that maybe it was the Windows update at the time and that it'd be fixed somewhere along the future. However, as the controller currently
still fails to be detected by my computer, I feel I'm missing out on one of it's greatest features, which is complete bluetooth support with Windows 10.

TL;DR: my Xbox One S controller used to connect through bluetooth on my Windows 10 PC, but has recently failed to even be detected by my computer. The controller still works when wired in, and another Xbox One S controller I have can still connect through
bluetooth, so it must be a problem with the controller. What should I do?

Does the Xbox One S console have Bluetooth Capability? I.E Bluetooth Headsets

There is no Bluetooth radio component in the Xbox One S console itself.

The controllers connect to the Xbox One S the same way the controllers connect to the original Xbox One: proprietary RF. You could technically connect an Xbox One S controller to an original Xbox One, and an original Xbox controller to the Xbox One S.

The Bluetooth functionality in the new Xbox One S controller is specifically made for connecting the controller to a Windows 10 PC with the "Anniversary" update, which has the drivers needed for the controller when connected via Bluetooth.

You can use a regular Xbox One controller on an Xbox One S console, and you can use an Xbox One S controller on a regular Xbox One console.

All controllers connect to the Xbox console the same way, via proprietary RF.

If you are confused because of the addition of Bluetooth in the Xbox One S, just know that Bluetooth is only built into the Xbox One S controller (there is actually no bluetooth functionality in the Xbox One S console itself). The Bluetooth in the controller
is just a secondary method of wireless connectivity designed solely for connecting the controller to a Windows 10 PC via Bluetooth (without the need of a
USB adapter). It connects to the Xbox One/One S the same way as the original controllers do.
