    Xbox one s controller refuses to sync


    Hi,

    i have the same problem as below:

    Controller has previously been replaced after the same issue but the problem persists.

    Have installed latest software on the controller, completed hard resets and also reset the console but it makes no difference.

    Controller works when plugged in via usb but when removed it fails to sync.

    When you work through the trouble shooting its says i need a new controller which i have already had.

    Also, when trying to sync the controller with the console, the sync button on the console does nothing.

    Definitely sounds like the main component the xbox itself may need to be replaced. Especially if the buttons on the xbox do not deliver the process or action to sync the controller.

    Hi NathanTurner4,

    If you are using a new controller and still experiencing issues then it could be the console itself that is the cause.

    As you have performed a Power Cycle/reset and have attempted a reset
    to factory default     the only thing left is to consider getting in touch with the Device service and replacement with regards to getting your Xbox serviced as it may
    be a hardware fault you are experiencing. There will likely be a charge to use this service if you are outside your warranty period.

    yea its not a sync problem , tried with several different controllers and tried syncing them all but had no joy...just console switchs on, no signal and controllers refuse to sync. no clue what to try next to be honest :(
