Xbox One S Controller poor response via Bluetooth on PC

im not sure if it's an issue with my controller aging or my new Motherboard's Integrated Bluetooth (MSI MPG x570 Gaming Edge Wifi) that has been causing issues with the response with bluetooth. It takes forever for the controller to connect to my PC, but
when it does connect it either works fine for 5 minutes then has extreme input lag, or it cancels the pairing and I have to reconnect, thus looping to the input lag issue.

now the response issue I'm referring to is that the controller has massive lag in responding to my input or missing my input entirely. an example is me playing Battlefield V and my right stick response is either nothing or a delayed response (0.5 - 2 seconds)
then the camera will pan almost 180 degrees. same thing happens to the ABXY buttons, left stick, and triggers.

I need help in figuring out if I need to buy a new controller or if I should ditch the controller completely.

    Thanks.

    :)

    Thank you for the response,

    1. The USB port on my controller is broken so that avenue is closed.

    2. I have tried using another Bluetooth adapter, with no such luck.

    3. I have no other xbox controller available.

    4. I have tried connecting other Bluetooth accessories (headphones and speaker) and they work fine.

I play a little on the pc, but when I play I prefer to use the cable, even though it's boring sometimes for me it gets more comfortable and I avoid having this connection ping.

    Hi,

Have you tried plugging the controller in via USB? If it doesn't have input lag here, then it's likely the Bluetooth connection not working correctly. Have you tried other Bluetooth accessories on your computer such as earphones to see if they disconnect?

    Things to try

    1. Controller via USB.

    2. Another Bluetooth adaptor. You can get a version 4.0 Bluetooth for less than $10 (£10 or €12). I recommend you turn off your built in Bluetooth to test.

    3. Another Xbox One controller - if available.
