Xbox One S controller not working on w11

Discus and support Xbox One S controller not working on w11 in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I am using windows 11 23H2 KB5033920 version, I can connect my Xbox One s controller via bluetooth but its not working in any of the games I tried...     Xbox One S controller not working on w11


    I am using windows 11 23H2 KB5033920 version, I can connect my Xbox One s controller via bluetooth but its not working in any of the games I tried outside and inside steam. The controller is not present in Xbox Accesories app, but it was working in Steam Big Picture mode, untill I disabled all the support for it.
    It's still sensitive to input while i test it in built in Game Controllers app:

    connecting with usb cable does not work, drivers error in device manager, shows only "Controller"

    Fixed by reinstalling Windows 11 using installation assistant started with compatibility set to win 7

    error 0x80004005 - Can't connect to microsoft store, or play any games from my game pass

    That's funny, I'm on W11 and it doesn't work.

    Xbox Series X|S controllers are fully compatible with the Xbox One, One S and One X. Also the Xbox One controllers work on the new Series consoles.

    Hi,

    as far as I know any Xbox One controller will work on any Xbox One (or Series S|X) consoles.

    So a controller that came with a Xbox One S, should work fine with a regular Xbox One.

    Xbox Series X|S controllers are fully compatible with the Xbox One, One S and One X. Xbox One controllers also work on the new Series consoles.
