    Xbox One S Controller Issues


    Hey guys,

    Recently bought an Xbox One S about 3 months back and at the time my controller wouldn't connect or would connect occasionally but then not function. I worked around this by buying a plug in cable and thought no big deal. But now my cable has stopped working
    and I'm left with my controller again. I've tried all of the troubleshooting options to get it working again but nothing has helped. When I try to sync my controller (it disconnects on its own) it won't connect to my Xbox. And when it does connect it's not
    to my Xbox itself but to something else? For example the controller will stay lit whilst my Xbox is off. If it's not connecting to something different it's just continuously flashing and refuses to connect to my Xbox, has anyone run into this too or have any
    suggestions that could help?

    Xbox One S Controller Issues

    You should have exchanged the controller when you bought it. No need to be messing about with it. You'd be better off just buying a new controller.

    There is no Bluetooth radio component in the Xbox One S console itself.

    The controllers connect to the Xbox One S the same way the controllers connect to the original Xbox One: proprietary RF. You could technically connect an Xbox One S controller to an original Xbox One, and an original Xbox controller to the Xbox One S.

    The Bluetooth functionality in the new Xbox One S controller is specifically made for connecting the controller to a Windows 10 PC with the "Anniversary" update, which has the drivers needed for the controller when connected via Bluetooth.
