Xbox One S Controller - After turning on won't reconnect to PC bluetooth (stays paired)

    Hello there,

I've recently bought two xbox one s controllers and I connect them to my PC through Bluetooth.

But then I turn off my PC (or controller, or controller turns off automatically if I don't use it) - and when I turn on the controller once again, it won't reconnect to PC, on devices page it will stay as paired and it will blink like it's searching for
    a sync.

I've tried bluetooth troubleshooting, I have latest firmware in controllers, I've tried to add it by add device in control panel and through bluetooth devices in Windows 10. Nothing helps. I must delete the controller and pair it again.

Did anyone had similiar problem? Is there any fix?

    :)

  2. Wireless Gaming Adapters: Xbox One S Controller Wont stay paired to PC

Wireless Gaming Adapters: Xbox One S Controller Wont stay paired to PC
Hey my PC for some reason wont connect to the Xbox one S controller I just got via Bluetooth

    Here is what happens:

    - Says controller ready to pair

    - Asks for password (just click next)

    - Says "Connected"

    - Then says "Paired"

    - After that, the controller keeps blinking as if still in pairing mode

    - Then in Bluetooth Devices it says "Xbox Wireless Controller Ready to Pair" again!

And then the process repeats itself.

It connects when I use a USB cord but the cord is too short to use comfortably.

I have fully updated windows 10. And it the Bluetooth adapter can connect to my other devices. Any Suggestions?

Xbox One BT Controller Not Automatically Connecting to PC Bluetooth After Unplugging From Wired Connection

My controller won't automatically reconnect to my PC via Bluetooth after disconnecting it from a wired micro USB connection, even after powering off (by holding the center button for ~ 10 seconds,) and then powering back on the controller.

The controller won't reconnect via Bluetooth automatically after being disconnected from a wired connection. Yes, I can forget the controller and re-pair it, but there must be a quicker fix?

Xbox One S Controller - After turning on won't reconnect to PC bluetooth (stays paired)

    Hey there,

Here I'm not 300% sure, so if I'm wrong I'm happy to be corrected. But I've always had to re-sync my controller for win 10 use, mostly because i then pair it with an Xbox.

If you sync the controller with any other device you will have to sync it again on the device you want to use it.

So how do you switch your elite controller back and forth from different devices to windows 10?

Hi ViperMagma, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

The Xbox Wireless Controller that comes with Xbox Series X|S includes a feature that allows for quickly switching between a paired Bluetooth device and an Xbox console. If the controller is connected to a Bluetooth device, double-press the Pair button, and the controller will immediately switch its connection to the last Xbox console it was paired to. Then, to switch back to the paired Bluetooth device, press and hold the Pair button to start pairing mode. The controller will automatically connect to the Bluetooth device you were just using while it also searches for new devices – just in case you want to connect a different Bluetooth device or Xbox. If it doesn’t find a new device nearby in pairing mode, it will remain connected to the previous Bluetooth device.

As of the moment, the said feature is not yet available on Xbox Elite Series 2. But what I always do is make sure that when you turn on your devices such as PC or Laptop, the Bluetooth is turned off then turn the controller on first before turning on the Bluetooth for it to automatically reconnect.

    New Bluetooth Controller

I'm pretty sure the Bluetooth function of the controller is not to pair with the console, but rather a Windows 10 PC, or Windows 10 Mobile Phone (yes its confirmed). I am under the assumption the Xbox One S will not have Bluetooth, otherwise the Xbox One
S would just be a Bluetooth controller.

    Xbox 360 controller

The original Xbox 360 controllers do not support traditional Bluetooth and as such won't pair. To pair a Xbox 360 controller you will need to purchase an adapter that you plug into your PC. The official one, I believe, can still be ordered on Amazon.

If you want to just straight up pair a controller to a PC without the need for an adapter, recent Xbox One controllers use normal Bluetooth and would pair without issue - https://www.pcgamer.com/xbox-one-controller-on-pc/ will
tell you how to spot which ones will support this as the original Xbox One controllers don't.

Xbox One S Bluetooth Controller For PC

Power on your Xbox Wireless Controller by pressing the Xbox button .

Press the controller bind button for three seconds and release.

On your PC, select the Start button, and then select Settings > Devices > Bluetooth.

Turn on Bluetooth so it can discover Bluetooth devices.

Select Xbox Wireless Controller > Pair.

After completing all of those steps, it still asks you for a passcode after clicking Pair?
