Xbox One S completely unusable when offline

Hi everyone,

I want to be able to use my xbox offline so I've tried going to network settings and selevting go offline. The xbox is fine at that point, but when I power it off and power it back on it becomes unusable. To begin with the home screen will not show tiles for my most recent games, but instead shows the quick tips tile. Pressing the connect to network box only gives the screen a dark tint and doesnt load the network settings. When I go to my games and apps the tiles under the groups tab load pretty fast but the games tab and the apps tab both take upwards of 5 minutes to load, if they load at all. Then pressing a game tile just makes the sound bit doesn't actually load the game. Occasionally the game will load after a couple minutes waiting, but other times it won't open at all. I have tried going online then offline multiple times, and every time restarting the console brings my xbox back to the broken state, even though its fixed whenever I go online. I've tried doing a power cycle, a hard reset where I kept games and apps downloaded but had to reenter all my accounts and stuff, and I've made sure all my accounts have this set as the home xbox. Both digital and disc games mostly refuse to start.

In this case you may need to try perform a factory reset but select delete everything

If that doesn't work, the next step will be perform an offline update for your console

In that way Xbox system will be installed from scratch.

I have tried both the factory reset and the offline system update. I even ran the offline system update a second time. Is there anything else I can do or do I have to send it to get repaired? If yes, how would I do that, and does the xbox one s have standard warranty for at least 2 years

It took a little time, as the Settings app, subsequent sub-settings menus and restart took a long time to load and/or complete, but my console is running smoothly. Thanks.
