    Xbox One S clanking noise when first started up


    I set up a brand new Xbox one s this week, after starting it up for the first time I heard a terrible clanking noise which sounded like something had fallen off inside. I turned off the console then back on again, the clanking noise has now gone, however
    I now get a click every 10 seconds, in addition to this the console turns itself off after 2.5 minutes game play ???

    What’s going on ? - this really isn’t expected from a brand new unit??

    Hey shadowcobra129,

    Well it sounds like the console is in need of repairs. Clanking noises aren't part of normal operation (as I am sure you know). I would send it in to get fixed. Here is a link to the process.

    How long has this been happening? Did you make any forum posts when this first started happening?

    Most xbox consoles will make noise when it's running a game; it's natural if it sounds like a fan running, loud or not.

    If it's some other sound, like a clanking sound or something like that, then that could be a problem.

    Sounds like you've got a faulty console.It happens.

    Take it back to where you got it from & either get it exchanged or get a refund.

    Most xbox consoles will make noise when it's running a game; it's natural if it sounds like a fan running, loud or not.

    Xbox makes loud noise on start up

    My xbox one s makes a loud loud noise when start up it stops for about 30 sec and then comes back I try to turn it off but when the xbox is off it is louder than when it was on and now i cant use it for now sometimes i turn it on and it doesn’t make the
