Xbox one S: Bug with game memory

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

It appears that you are unable to play games in your Xbox One S after upgraded due to loop error message. Let us check on this together and sort this out. Rest assured that we will provide enough information on how to address your concern.

We would like to ask few questions to help us isolate the issue further.

1. Did you mean upgraded by installing updates to your Xbox One S console?

2. Did you delete some games and apps when you mean you have cleared space?

3. What are other steps have you done so far to resolve the issue?

For the meantime, here are the things that we can do.

1. Reset your console and select reset and keep my games and apps.

• Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
  
• Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info > Reset console.
  
• On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options: Select Reset and keep my games and apps.
  

2. Free up hard drive space.

Several other options can help you to free up space:

• Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
  
• Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Storage.
  
• On the Manage storage devices screen, select:
  
  • Clear local saved games. This deletes games saved to your hard drive, but they’ll still be saved to the cloud.
    

3. Remove leftover add-ons and shrinkable games.

Leftover add-ons are items that remain after you’ve uninstalled a game. To remove leftover add-ons or shrinkable games:

• Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
  
• Select My games & apps > See all > Manage > Free up space.
  
• Choose Leftover add-ons or Shrinkable games, highlight an item from the list, press the Menu button, then select Uninstall.

Xbox One S only has a 1.75Ghz processor with only 8GB slow DDR3 memory with a mere bandwidth of 68GB/s.

Xbox One X has a 2.3Ghz processor with an amazing 12GB fast GDDR5 memory with a high bandwidth of 326GB/s. It also has a 4k Blu-ray optical drive, and is smaller than even the Xbox One S.

Xbox One X will be able to play games natively in 4k. It will also be able to play current Xbox One games with huge graphical improvement fidelity. In PC terms, it will be able to play games on High settings. Where as the Xbox One and Xbox One S will only
be, in PC terms, play games in Low or Entry-Medium level graphics.

There is minimal hardware improvement between the original Xbox One and Xbox One S. Both have the same 1.75Ghz processor and slow DDR3 memory with it's low bandwidth. Xbox One and Xbox One S will be able to keep up, but they WON'T come close to the Xbox
One X, due to hardware restrictions.

Ok did you put it in an internal memory or storage card or external usb drive

If external that would be why

You can only put it in an internal memory or storage card

Now I'd you are saying you have a Xbox one S

That isn't a series s

Series consoles.are different and are not considered Xbox one nor is it part of the name

Also any games.that are meant for the series consoles has to be on storage card or.internal memory

Xbox one games works regardless of Xbox one s or og or one x

And you can use any storage

But for Xbox series consoles there is only s or x not one s/x

And only games on optimized nvme or the Xbox nvme storage card will download the series version

If you put it on external it would only download the Xbox one as you arent running thr optimized nvme

No it's not a bug

It's not.available for your platform

It's only available for series consoles

Xbox one games don't have a s or x requirement

Only xbox one s digital edition can't play any disk games
