xbox one s - black screen, troubleshoot unsuccessful

I'm in the troubleshooting menu but when I choose to factory reset my Xbox it won't respond, the console chirps as if it is turning off and my controller turns off but nothing happens

Black screen

Trouble shoot menu

Continue - screen goes black

Keep everything reset - chimes and freezes

Factory reset - chimes and freezes

Offline update - chimes, shows preparing console 0% and freezes

Turn this xbox off - chimes and does nothing, can not use dpad to change options

Always stays on tho

anything would help, ive looked everywhere.

could it be motherboard connectors / receptors

I am unable to get to the dashboard on my Xbox. It restarts and the first screen says say ‘Xbox open that’. Then black screen. I am able to press home and it goes to screen where I can turn off the console or remote or restart the console. I have also tried to hard reset

I'm afraid that appears to be an issue with the device Hard drive and the console will need to be repaired.

Since it isn't under warranty anymore I'll suggest you take it to a local departmental store so their repair department take a look at it and you can take it home the same day.

I bought my Xbox One S in December 2018 and currently i'm experiencing 2nd black screen in a few months.

I got first black screen in January 2019 and got my xbox fixed by Microsoft. Now in June 2019 i got 2nd black screen. So frustrated!

I'm curious what did they fix? What is causing black screens? I'm also playing my games on external hard drive to not strain the internal hard drive but black screen keeps happening.

I've tried troubleshooting steps (except the usb update cause i don't remember my dashboard version and i still have black screen) so i'm confused nothing works.

I'm thinking if it gets fixed for a 2nd time i'm going to sell my Xbox One S and buy an Xbox One X so maybe i would have better luck with different hardware. I really don't know... my white Xbox 360 Pro is still alive and never got red ring of death and
Xbox One S keeps breaking with black screens. I'm lucky with Xbox 360 but so unlucky with Xbox One S. I'm so disappointed with Microsoft hardware.

My Xbox one S shows a black screen and the two options are to restart or troubleshoot when I try to restart or reset the consul a load to 5% and then it takes me right back to that same screen with the two options can you help please

I've had this myself three times already. Had to ship in my console every time because nothing could fix it.
