Xbox One S (bad HDMI cable)

Hi I am writing this email to express my disappointed experience with Xbox One S (HDMI cable).

At first, I am a great fan of Xbox consoles, xbox live service and games. I really love and recommend for all my friends and I also try to convert my Playstation fans friend to Xbox. However I had a very bad experience that I need to share. I bought the
Xbox One S 500Gb at Microsoft Store at Toronto Eaton Center, Canada and I also bought RCA TV 55 "4K NOT Smart (rtu5540) on last Black Friday at Walmart, I paid Uber to get home.

For 3 days all works perfect, and then some blue lines showed on screen, flickering. I tried everything that was possible, enable / disable display features on Xbox and TV, change HDMI port. I also plugged my MacBook Pro into TV with the same HDMI fits which
came with the Xbox and again problem, the only way it was possible to stabilize the image from MacBook was setting 1080i which was frustrating.

I know that RCA is not a very good TV brand, and I could not believe the problem could be the Xbox or the cable. So I went to store that I bought the TV, I had to take buses on a very freezing day in Toronto with a huge TV with me, and trying to replace
a new one, but they did not have the same model, so they game me two options: refund or get other more expensive TV.

It was frustrating situation, because I did not want to spend more money on other TV, I would rather prefer to buy an Xbox One X instead with that money. But OK, I paid more CAD 150 for other TV RCA 55 "HDR10 Smart 4K (rtru5527) and I went back home by bus
    with a huge TV.

And again the same problem with Xbox and MacBook. I made contact with RCA support, updated the firmware and nothing worked.

I also tried to reset Xbox from factory, setup everything again and nothing, and when I changed the TV connection for HDMI (forced) on Xbox settings and I got a black screen, I knew the Xbox was working but I could not see anything.

So I give a call to my friend, who bought Xbox One S (I convinced him to migrate from Playstation to Xbox) and he guided me to though the buttons sequence to change the option again, the TV connection over the phone. After 2h trying, finally I could reset
my Xbox from factory and then the screen back to work again.

So, I decided to return the Xbox and TV, was enough for me, frustrating situation. When I was on the way to the Microsoft store, I had the idea to buy a new HDMI cable and give it a try. And worked perfect!

I made a video showing the problem with the Xbox cable and the new cable. In short, I had to pay Uber, I took the buses in the freezing Toronto days with a huge TV and the biggest problem I had to pay more on a new TV which was not necessary, I really wanted
to spend this money with Xbox One X instead of Xbox One and the problem was just the HDMI cable which came with the Xbox. It was very frustrating experience for me.

    :)

  2. Weird HDMI issue

Try different HDMI cords or HDMI inputs on your son's TV (if available). Since the Xbox 360 S is displaying fine on your own TV, the issue seems to lie with either a bad cable or a TV issue, according to what you've said.

See what happens when you use a different HDMI cable, even the one you used to plug the Xbox into your TV. If needed, you could find HDMI cables at the dollar store.

  3. Hdmi cabel that comes with console xbox one s 1tb can it handle 4K UHD-material at 60 hertz?

The HDMI cable that comes with the Xbox One S supports 4K@60Hz.

I've got an Xbox One S as well. I'm using the included cable with my 4K TV, and it all works fine.

The Xbox One S is advertised for 4K output. They'd better include a 4K-compatible cable!

Why do my Xbox one s all digital graphics look so bad?

Before I want to buy an hdmi cable for my Xbox I searched up signs your hdmi cable has gone bad and I wanted to ask do the hdmi cables that come with your Xbox one s in the box normally go bad after a few years because I got my Xbox in 2019.

    1440p and 120hz on Xbox one S

I tried what you told me and the display still didn’t work. So I purchased a brand new hdmi 2.0 cable just in case it was my old xbox one s cable that was bad but sadly it still does not work.

Xbox one powers on but only shows a black blank screen.

When booting from "cold". It takes between 60 and 90 seconds for the xbox one to power up. I'd also try a different HDMI cable as there could be a loose cable/connection in there somewhere. Ultimately it could be an issue with a bad solder or something in
    the Xbox it self.

I've had the same kind of issues with other hardware and it turned out mostly to be a bad HDMI cable, or an old HDMI cable. That's where I'd start and if it doesn't solve the issue, send in your xbox one for repair.

    No signal on TV

Hi, Praveen my name is Oskayra, and will be a pleasure help you

It's understandable that you're facing this issue with your Xbox One S console not displaying a signal on the TV in Japan. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check the HDMI cable connection: Ensure the HDMI cable is firmly connected to both the Xbox One S and the TV. Disconnect and reconnect both ends of the cable to ensure a secure connection.

Try a different HDMI cable: If possible, try using a different HDMI cable to rule out any issues with the original cable.

Change HDMI input on the TV: Check the TV's input settings and ensure that you are on the correct HDMI input port connected to the Xbox One S.

Power cycle the Xbox One S: Turn off the Xbox One S completely by holding the power button for about 10 seconds until the console shuts down. Unplug the power cord for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn on the console.

Update the Xbox One S software: Ensure that the Xbox One S is running the latest software updates. Go to Settings > System > Updates and check for any available updates.

Try different HDMI ports on the TV: If your TV has multiple HDMI ports, try connecting the Xbox One S to a different HDMI port.

Check for TV compatibility issues: Check if your TV is compatible with the resolution and refresh rate settings of the Xbox One S. You can adjust these settings in the Xbox One S's video settings.

Try a different TV: If possible, try connecting the Xbox One S to a different TV to rule out any issues with your current TV.

I hope this helps! Don't hesitate to ask if you have any further questions or need additional clarification.
