Xbox One S bad hard drive.

I'm pretty sure the internal hard drive has failed in my Xbox One S. I am technically proficient enough to replace it. I am looking for symptoms others have encountered with a confirmed hard drive failure. Is there any specific SATA 2 hard drives that anyone would recommend? Thanks for looking.

It was not a bad previous idea. I do not have an external hard drive for my Xbox one series S.

You would want to send it in to Microsoft for repair. Self-repair violates the terms of service and as such, we cannot make recommendations on hard drives here.

Are both hard drives for the 360 S or is one for the 360 S and the other for the original xbox 360?

I’ve used the hard drives for my Xbox one but when I bought the hard drive, it said it was compatible for the series s.

You would need to send it in for repair. Self repair is not allowed. Be aware though, if you have the original Xbox One, Microsoft do not support it any more, so would not repair it. Only the Xbox One S & Xbox One X are supported. If the console is out
of warranty, then you will need to pay for the repair as well.
