Xbox One S - Amazon Music HD/UHD

It's kind of sad that Microsoft won't support an HD version of Amazon Music app. Works on EVERY other platform I use.

I don't know if this because of the rivalry between the two companies, it I know hardware wise, the One S is more than capable of supporting it. I have older hardware (PC and phone) that supports the HD just fine. Amazon states it's up to codec that's
available on the system that playing the service.... so riddle me this, how is it possible for the codec on the Xbox One S to support HD/UHD video and audio via streaming services and the UltraHD BluRay player, but not Amazon Music. I think we consumers are
paying the price or your petty rivalry with Amazon.

I am having the same experience as ItsParN. I have the Samsung UHD 7250. The smart hub Netflix and Amazon are in Ultra HD when streaming. The Xbox One S dashboard is in 4k or upscale 4k except the Ultra Blu Rays that I try. When I put those in it goes
back to 1080P. Advanced video options in the settings show green check marks for my tv 4K options. The Xbox One S Netflix app doesn't not show the 4k Ultra content. Neither does the Amazon app.

It seems as though the HD streaming services are not available on the Xbox One X console. As stated in the

Amazon Music Unlimited HD FAQ:

Which Windows devices support Amazon Music HD? - PC support for HD/Ultra HD playback depends on the built-in audio player and DAC, which varies by device. Please check your manufacturer specifications.

I'm not seeing any specifics on the HD audio being available for a game console. You may want to reach out to Amazon Support for more information regarding the HD quality on Xbox One.

UHD Color is the Samsung equivalent of HDR10 and supported by the 40" Samsung TV model in the other thread. Look it up in the manual. The other guy mentioned also that he eventually got an LG, so there's another HDR supported 40" panel for your needs.

Im dead tired of this replaced the Samsung Uhd player for the Xbox S as a ultra hd player to find out most of my recent Movies dont Even work on it.
