You tried see in My Microsoft Account > billing > orders if you have the Order for your puchases?

We recommend to request another call from support. If they can confirm that it was activated within the time you state they can assist you. They shouldn't need the receipt. Only time they would is if it is just out of warranty.

When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:

• Step 1 ----select Xbox One
  
• Step 2 ----select see other options then subscription changes
  
• Step 3-----select show contact options
  
  Step 4 ----select request call from support
  

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.

Have you tried asking the store you purchased it from if they can print out a receipt for you. I don't know if that's possible but it's an idea. If you bought it online then the account you used to make the purchase would have a purchase history.

My son purchased at Walmart and paid cash.

Unfortunately there is very little that can be done here unless you find the receipt. If it had been paid for by card that would also be proof of date of purchase but if by cash the receipt is the only thing they can go on.

I said the same thing to my son. He prefers to pay cash for most everything, even though most credit card companies double the warranty by 12 months and the proof would be the credit purchase.
