Xbox One requires restart to connect to internet - please help

I would highly recommend performing a power cycle for the console; another thing that might be helpful in solving the problem is performing a reset for the console, please check: How to reset your Xbox console to factory defaults | Xbox Support

to connect again.

According to the
requirements for use of the OneGuide a connection to Xbox live is required which in turn requires an internet connection.

Thus you would not be able to use this feature properly without a connection.

Xbox One connects to my wifi network, but acts as if it is not connected to internet at all. The network test shows it is connected to the internet, but anything that requires the internet does not load. I have restarted the console multiple times;
including a hard reset removing everything from the Xbox. Also, there are no problems when connected to Ethernet, just the wireless network. I've called microsoft support, but did not have a solution. Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Try restarting your internet from your modem or router or where ever your connection is made and try to connect, If you live in the US I recommend buying a router then using a 3 mobile dongle as Xbox Live has a minimum connection required to connect, Your
internet connection may not be at that level but restarting or upgrading should fix the problem.
