XBox One Remote Range Extender?

Hello.

We have an XBox one installed into a large AV cabinet with all out other home IT/WiFi/AV stuff...

The AV equipment serves to TVs and the associated surround sound etc.

In one space, the remotes seem to be too far away. The XBox remotes consistently cut out.

Is there some sort of XBox remote repeater or extender?

Remote IP Range

Hi

Leave the remote ip range as zero's (which means anyone) because you will never know the ip addresses of the people you are playing against as Xbox live is peer 2 peer.

So zero's is fine.

Reserve an ip address for your Xbox using DHCP reservation , set your xbox ip address to auto and then put the reserved ip address in the QOS local ip address (from and to) and change the protocol from TCP to both and leave the port range as it is (everything)

Remote IP Range

If you want your console to have priority over your other devices, I have you covered. Jump on your computer, and pull up the command prompt. If you're using windows XP, Vista, or 7, just pull up the start menu and type "Command Prompt" into the search bar.
When it comes up, type in "IPconfig", all one word. You are looking for the Default Gateway. When you find the default gateway, remember those numbers, go back to your console, and then type in that gateway, adding one number to the last string of numbers.
Say you have a default gateway of 192.168.2.1. That is your router's IP address. Make your console's IP address 192.168.2.2, which makes it the priority device on the network. Bear in mind, if you have another device on the network with that same address,
you're going to have problems, so reboot all your devices afterwards to ensure everything gets a smooth message. Feel free to ask any additional questions, I am flagging this thread so we can work it out if you have any more trouble.

If this is something you're still experiencing, we're afraid there is no range extender for Xbox One wireless controllers. However,

controller disconnections can occur for a variety of reasons.

It sounds like you could be too far away from your Xbox One console and/or experiencing wireless interference with that other equipment you mentioned. More on that can be found via Solution 5 of the guide we sent you above.

No, it's not a universal remote: (www.xbox.com/.../media-remote)

The remote controls TV/receiver power and volume through Kinect, or an IR extender cable (cable not included).

You need Kinect or IR Extenders.

Just like any other internet server, they have to do load balancing or it will cause more issues. Last time Xbox Live was taken down by DDOS attacks, it took like 250Gbps of traffic to shut it down.

The likely issue is the wireless setup, if your range extender is in the same room as the Xbox, then that is part of the issue, you need to realize that if your Xbox is getting 1 bar, and your range extender is right by the Xbox, then your range extender
is getting poor signal as well, move the range extender closer to the router.

And then we move onto wireless, is the router and range extender using the 5Ghz band? If either are using 2.4Ghz, then that'll reduce the bandwidth.
