Xbox one remote (not controller) on Windows 10

Hi all,

I was wondering if there is anyway to use the Xbox one remote on a Windows 10 pc. I currently use an Xbox one controller with the adapter and love it. I run my entire home theater through a windows 10 powered pc and don't really like the current options
for a remote control. Well that's not entirely true as I like running it through a keyboard but others in my household want a more traditional handheld remote. I haven't found any discussion on this so here I am. Thanks for any input you may have.

Xbox Wireless Adapter for Windows - using Controller with other Game

Hello,

i bought the XBox Wireless-Adapter for Windows and can use my Xbox-Controller with the Windows 10 App Xbox to Control my Xbox remote. But i can´t use the Controller with other Windows Games, if i connect the Controller via USB-Cable it is possible.

Is there any way to use the Controller wireless on my pc with the Adapter and other games?

TV remote control

I can no longer use the TV remote control in the Xbox beta app for Android. It works fine in the non beta app. Am I the only one or is this feature bring removed from all apps like it was Windows 10?

No, the Xbox 360 SmartGlass app is not compatible with Windows 10. However, Microsoft has a newer app called Xbox app that works on Windows 10 and provides similar features such as remote control, streaming, and social features for Xbox One consoles.

This is how I have connected my remote in the past when I used it with my computer, just by connecting the USB to the computer and into the controller. For some reason this has stopped working though and no longer turns on the remote when I plug it in
