    Xbox one remote - 'A' button


    I got a new remote a few weeks ago. I am now on my third brand new remote that the 'A' button sometimes doesn't work when pressed a certain way; which is the way I naturally press it when playing a game. I can sometimes go 15-20 presses until the action
    is finally performed in game. These remotes are all literally right out of the box, connected, and updated.

    This seems to happen after I update the remote to the newest update 4.8.1923.0

    Anyone experience this or have advice ?

    I have already tried completely shutting down my xbox, unplugging and turning back on.

    Feature Request: Boot directly to Live TV.

    I agree with this suggestion. Or atleast have a dedicated "button" that I could program in my remote to switch to live TV full-screen. I use a Harmony remote and would love to program something into the remote to put the XBox One in TV mode when I press
    the "Watch TV" button on my remote and have the XBox One goto the dashboard when I press the "Play Games" button on my remote.

    I just got the xbox one IR remote and can confirm the menu and pop up menu buttons on the remote still do not work!! What a waste of money this remote was, these buttons work on the connected glass app on my iPad but not on the remote, unacceptable...

    Hi.

    When you are using an app and want to get back to the Xbox home screen with the media remote, tap the Power On/Home button (the big "Xbox" button at the top) to reveal the guide and select "Home."

    If you wish to completely close an app, press the Power On/Home button to access the guide, navigate the guide to highlight the app you wish to close, tap the Menu (hamburger) button, and navigate to "Quit" on the context menu.

    then you'd have 2 diffrent buttons on your remote one for on and one for off (unless its a smart remote but thats future tech )
