Xbox One recent update and Video Game updates

Alright, so a few days ago I finally got Halo 5 and I was really excited about it (this was before the update was released for the Xbox One layout), I installed the game with no problem and then let the game update so I left it to that, when I checked back,
it stopped dead on 87% and was not continuing any further so I tried again only to end in failure again on 87% again.

Then the update for the Xbox came around so I updated it and tried to install the game again. Installed no problem, but the update remained at 0% this time. I followed the instructions on this site for help but it has not helped. I decided to leave Halo
5 and go on the Master Chief Collection instead, it needed an update. Throughout this update, it kept on stopping and restarting and then when I eventually came to 75% it stopped and reverted back to 68%, got back up to 75% and back to 68% and so on.

I don't know whats going on so please help.

ps DLC's load and download fine, its updating a game that is a problem

I've noticed no issues since the updates.

One update was just a behind the scenes update. This most recent update fixed an issue where watching videos caused the video to look..blotched out.

 

Game trailer video in store won't play - Message = Error: Video cannot be decoded

Since the most recent update, I'm unable to view game trailer video. Message "Error: Video cannot be decoded" is displayed.

I had the same thing happen to me with Fallout 4 installation.

What I do with new games when i'm trying to isntall them and they are playing up, is go offline (through your network settings), then install the game, then jump back online and install the updates. This should usually work.

I also then had the same issue with the update stopping, then going backwards. All I did there was leave it, eventually, after a lot of stopping and starting, it eventually installed. It just took a bit longer then normal was all, but still eventually finished.

With the new game, try the offline install then online update, and for the other the only thing I can suggest would be to leave it, even though it says the update has stopped, just wait and it should start back up
