    Xbox One Recent Issues


    Hi.

    Recently, my Xbox One has been turining itself on at least once a day. It also doesn't let my controllers connect unless I do a full reboot everytime. It's only been turning itself on for the past two weeks, but it's been giving me controller issues for
    at least 4 months. Any ideas as to what the problem(s) might be?

    Recent Xbox One issues

    On Sunday we recently encountered a few issues with our Xbox One console. first off after our cable boxes from Cox updated the cable box in our living room that is connected to the Xbox One wouldnt work anymore. it said it was some issue with the HDMI cable
    so we switched them. still didnt work. and after calling the cable company we still had problems. so we were told to switch the boxes which i did today. after hooking up the new cable box it still has the same issues. from a frozen screen with no inputs from
    the remote to static to frozen error messages to a blank screen. we tried hooking the HDMI from the cable box to the TV directly which did work perfectly everything was fixed. but without the hookup to the Xbox the sound isnt as good. how do we fix this?

    Another issue is that on Sunday as well we tried to watch a blu-ray disk movie. but when playing the screen flashes to pure blackness for like 2 seconds then shows the picture again. this only happens to the picture of the movie itself when i use the movie
    playback menu it shows perfectly. same with the main menus of the Xbox itself all of it shows just fine it only flashes black on movies including DVDs. This issue also does not affect games as the games play just fine with no black screen flashes. the sound
    works perfectly so idk what the problem is. any ideas?

    on your privacy setting do you have it set soeverybody can communicate with voice and text. you can check this by going into settings -> account -> Privacy and online safety -> xbox live privacy -> veiw details -> communication and multiplayer. these need
    to be set to allow.

    If you need more help or nothing works maybe try and get in contact with microsoft support or a specialist. hop i could have helped

    We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused but rest assured we are here to help, we have seen this in the past
    and since the issue could be on the actual OS of the console so we would suggest a >Soft
    Factory Reset    <
    (while keeping games and apps)
    IF AND ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA IS MET:

    • There is a stable network connection.
    • The information for all profiles is known (email and passwords)

    Once the setup is complete it will ask if we want to keep settings or manual setup
    lets do manual setup. Give it a shot and let us know of any changes!
