XBOX ONE Receiving Data

When I turn my xbox one on it just shows "Receiving Data". It has been that way all day.

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console

Exactly, you can compile enough data to show that the Xbox One isn't too well received right now.

You use data no matter if your host or not, games work by sending and receiving data these are called packets.

Every one you see on screen/ingame will be sending and receiving data from all the other players aswell this is how multi-player on-line games work.

I went through the entire setup process a few times and even cleared the one guide to make it get the latest data. It seems like wherever Xbox Live receives its data is incorrect. This doesn't seem to be an issue I can fix on my end.

We see that you have been rewarded and received multiple deposits over the course of the year. The gamerpic for Rewards is based off Xbox 360 information. While we are investigating updating to receiving Xbox One data, currently the only way to change that
picture is through the Xbox 360.
