Xbox one REALLY slow downloads

Im on xbox one and my downloads seem to take unbelievably long. downloaded a 20GB file and it took over 30 hours. It happens with updates, dlcs, and downliadable games. ive changed internet provider already and we are on medium package. All my other devices
work fine with internet. Here are my specs. Hope someone can help. Also ive tried wireless and wired and bought a wireless booster. Its been going on way too long now. Way past a year

Hey again Primenay! It's possible there's some setting we're missing. I've been trying to research but it doesn't look like many people have experience with this router and Xbox Live together. Did you get this router from your ISP or did you buy it yourself?
If you got it from your ISP I'd suggest calling them to see if they've had anyone else having similar slow speeds.

Other than that, the only thing I can really think to try would be a wired connection, since that would give us a definite on if the issue lies somewhere with in the wireless connection. But I know you've already said router is too far from your T.V.s to try
that.

This is down to your connection speed. Assuming you are always hitting 3.5Mbps, the minimum time for your download is approximately 13 hours. Assuming you are using other devices on the network (eg streaming video, downloading files, browsing the web), then
the maximum speed your Xbox can actually get decreases - and thus the time taken to download your 20GB game will increase significantly.

So it is entirely reasonable that on your download speeds a 20GB game takes 30 hours to download.

Is it over Wi-fi or is it a LAN connection? If it's over wi-fi speeds will definitely vary.

Hi Prime,

I have another suggestion for you.

Poor signal strength is a common problem with this router. To resolve this, go to the Advanced wireless settings and change the "Preamble" mode from long, to short.

Let us know how that goes, or if you have anymore questions.

When you download, do you stay on the download screen (Active Downloads) or background download?

Please run a speedtest and
pingtest on your computer from where your Xbox is located with a wireless connection type and post up the results.

Regarding the WAN IP your router is receiving, on the home screen of your router select Internet and look for the Internet IP address.
