Xbox One Problems

I usually do not write on these forums but I have had it with the Xbox One. This system has so many bugs and little issues that it is not fun to play. I bought my One in February of this year and I honestly think I made the wrong choice. In this I
will detail the problems of the Xbox One because nobody else seems to care.

1. The Party System SUCKS!!!!!!

Since day one of my experience with my one I have not been able to talk to the majority of my friends. At first I thought it was my connection but it’s not, my connection is open and all of the features are available. Sometimes I send invites and when
the person joins I cannot hear them and they cannot hear me, and I get the famous Xbox One line “Something went Wrong”
On the Xbox 360 the party systems were so easy to use and to control but on the One everything about the party system is like walking up 3000 flights of stairs. I pay every three months for a live membership with missing features.

2. The Friend’s List takes eons to load

One of the greatest aspect of play online is the multiplayer aspect of it. Sometimes playing the game I meet people who are good or that I want to play with but I cannot because viewing gamer profiles and sending friend requests take way too long to
load up. One day I sat there and counted how long it took for the gamer profile to pop up. It took 2 mins to load and that’s only to see the gamer profile if you want to message them or send a friends request it will take another 3 mins. It is very irritating
to never be able to quickly send an invite to a game or invite someone to a party.

3. The Installation process is extremely long

When new games come out I am excited and I want to rush home to play it. Wait I can’t I have to wait an additional 6 hours so that the game can download onto my hardrive. I download Forza 5
TWO DAYS AGO and it is on 93%. Before you say “You can play it while it’s downloading”, no you can’t your allowed to play half way through the first mission. It doesn’t matter if your game is on 30% or 99%, you can only play halfway through the
first mission.

4. Microsoft flat out lied about backwards compatibility

Since 2007 I have bought several games for the Xbox 360 and it sucks that I can no longer play them. When Microsoft announced that the Xbox One wouldn’t have backwards compatibility the gaming community raged and a statement was made that the Xbox
One will included backwards compatibility. So too my surprise when I tried to put Skyrim into my One it wouldn’t fit. If Microsoft didn’t want to include that feature its okay, but they didn’t have to lie.

We as gamers want a GAME SYSTEM not an Entertainment System. I am honestly disappointed with the Xbox One there are too many things wrong with it. If Microsoft wants to even come close to competing
with Sony, they should fix the problems I named in this article

This is not an article, it's an uninformed rant.

 

Hi Forever.

The next game you load onto your ONE... disconnect from XBox LIVE first.

Then let the game install.

Then reconnect to the internet and let the updates happen.

It takes longer when it's trying to install the disc and the game at the same time.

 

2 and 3 sound a lot like a problem with your internet speeds or with the X1 itself. Maybe instead of ranting on a public forum, you should contact support and see what they say. 4 is a complete lie by you because Microsoft never said the X1 would be backwards
compatible.

 

As Azrael mentioned, disconnect from the Internet first when installing a game. This is a known issue that they've been trying to fix.

If the friends list is taking too long to load, maybe you have too many apps open. When you aren't using an app, hit the "Start" button on the app and select "quit".

As others have mentioned, there was never an official word about backwards compatibility. I hate to say it, but you shouldn't have gotten rid of your 360.
