Xbox One Preview Updates Party Invites

Hi,

I have downloaded the preview updates on the Xbox one. However as my friends haven't received the invite, they haven't got the preview updates feature.

When I go to accept a party invite from a friend, I am unable to accept it nor if I send them an invite will they be able to join me.

I've contacted you support team and they have stated that this is a known problem with the system beta and that If I post on here then I shall receive a Patch to fix this.

Please can you advise on this?

update is completed and the update is released to the general public, party features should work normally between all Xbox One players. Non-party multiplayer and chat are not affected by this, meaning you will still be able matchmake, chat, and play with all
Xbox Live players regardless of update status inside of game titles. If you have friends that you use the Party App with that have not been invited to preview Xbox One updates, you can invite them by posting in the Invite a Friend to Preview Xbox One Updates

its not possilbe until all are on the same version of the system software. part of being a preview/beta tester.

 

The Xbox support team assured me of a short term fix before the live update - Hense the support reference. Are you suggesting that this is not going to be release to me?

won't say for certain but sounds like support told you what you wanted to hear. There is no reason for them to patch the preview, why spend the time when in a few a week or so everyone will have it to begin with. They also say right in the preview registration
app "When you preview an update, you'll be using software that could temporarily cause diminished or lost functionality". which is exactly what the lack of invites etc. between preview and current version is, its the cost of trying out stuff early.

It will be fixed when everyone is on the March update. Just look in the 04- console forum, full of people experiencing the same problems.

Looks like i'm going to have to fire up the old 360 then. Its just quite frustrating as the march updates are essentially the key features towards the success of the 360 so I kind of lead myself to ask why these features weren't in with the One release.....

And it may have been written in the brief before I started but lets face it, when you get a message from Xbox that says "You have been picked by Xbox to try something", you're just going to press yes so I guess they trapped me with that one.

Thanks for your advise though, it's pretty much confirmed what I thought was going to happen.
