Xbox one-PC playing 1 game copy in same time

Hi Fellow gamer,

Thanks for coming to the forums. We see you have question with using game on two machines. The only way this could be done is have

home console on the Xbox console. This will allow anyone on that console to play the game. Then if it is available for PC under the game pass for PC you can play it on the PC.

As far as I know 1 copy works on both xbox and pc but one at the same time its not that you can play the same game on xbox and pc with onlu one purchase I havent tried this I migjt try it to see how it goes good question...

So I'm assuming this is a play anywhere game.

You can not play a play anywhere game on both PC and Xbox at the same time, on the same account.

What you need to do is set the Xbox One console you want to be able to play the game as the account's (that owns the game, unless you have a disc copy) home Xbox, then sign into the game on the Xbox with a different account, then you can sign in on PC with
the account that has the digital rights to the game and then you will be able to play on PC and Xbox One simultaneously.

that is cool now me and my 9 "family" members (friends) can throw down on ONE copy of the game, ONE xbox live membership, and split the costs. just so long as we don't want to play the same game at the same time beats me and 9 other buddies having to
buy 9 copies of the same game. people will exploit this and sales will be lost. devil may cry, dantes inferno, prototype... a couple games i happen to see lying on the ground that me and 9 other people will NOT be playing at the same time. cool, that 1
copy will be passed around quite a bit.

Yes, with a digital copy of the game you can play on Xbox and PC at the same time. There are a few things you will need to do since an account cant be playing the same game on PC at the same time as Xbox. With the account that owns
the game set the home Xbox to the Xbox you would like to use. Then login with a different
Xbox live account on that box to play on that Xbox. From there you can use the account owning the game on the PC at the same time. If you don't know how to set your Xbox as home box, the link is here.
