    Xbox one original sign-in issues


    Here for the last few days I have had an issue signing in to my Xbox. Every time that I try to sign in for the first time for the day my Xbox freezes up and never prompts me for my pin. After a hard reset it works but I have to do it everytime. The issue
    seemed to start after playing Minecraft Xbox live for the first time in a long time. I receive an error code but there is nothing on the error help page. 0x80040900

    broken.

    xbox.com/status shows issues with xbox one sign in. I was having issues also but im now able to sign in so hopefully this should now be resolved.

    The tech team are working to resolve the issue and will update that page every 30 minutes with progress reports until the problem has been addressed. You should be good to go after that.

    I fixed this issue, and I have to sign into my account so my son could play it, but it's odd before on my original xbox one this was not needed.

    Insider hub and Xbox (Beta) won't allow me to sign in.

    I have the same issue, and similar issues in Xbox Game Bar and Minecraft (this last one might be unrelated, or be caused by one of the other problems).

    After clicking "Sign in" in the Game Bar, an empty window flashes for a split second and then nothing happens, no error, but I am not signed in. It looks similar to the first link from the original post.

    Hi,

    If a factory reset didn’t fix it and neither does hard resetting it by holding the power button on the console for a full 10 seconds until it’s completely off, then I’d say cut your losses if you didn’t pay money for it.

    Did someone give it to you for free? Did you know them? It could have been happening to them.

    Either way I would send it in for repair. You can get an S for only a little bit more and then you’ll have a new console with a warranty.
