    Xbox One Original Black Screen after showing system update


    So on Monday (Aug 23) my street had a power outage and I have not booted up my console until today. Upon booting it went through the normal green screen with Xbox logo into a system update screen only to finish the update, display "Hello Snitzel" and nothing else. I have tried power cycling the console, trying to boot in lower resolution mode and am currently trying to preform an offline update. My OS is 22000.1759.amd64fre. I'm not sure if the issue and the update are related but thought it would be worth sharing.

    Microsoft have a good article on troubleshooting system updates here.

    My folks' original Xbox One was stuck at a black screen after their most recent update; the factory reset steps in the article got them up and running again.

    Tweaked Donkey, I tried all methods, but the console showed "Your System is Updated" and the screen remained black. In one of tries it notificated me: "" entered, but the screen remained black :(

    In the same boat as the above poster. Tried all methods as latest update black screened my Xbox one (original). What is going to be done or what to do in this event? Says I need to sign in from guide but screen stays black after Xbox start up screen. Only can pull up turn off restart options.
