    Hi i have a problem with an xbox one. none of the usb ports are working and also the Sync button is not working. Apart from this the xbox runs normal but after completing all soft rests without success i did a full reset holding the sync plus the eject and pressing the power button.The problem i now face is the xbox went through its normal reset procedure and l am left with the screen showing the xbox controller prompting me to continue by pressing the x box button on the controller. So with no response from any of the 3 usb ports and unable to sync . I am stuck. Any body have any ideas, regards Mark

    You sync the controller by pressing the sync button in your controller (the one near the mini usb port) and the sync button in the front of the console (S) or in one side (Original) at the same time.

    Also, you're connecting the headset directly to the 3.5 port or using an adapter?, an adapter example would be using a keyboard with a 3.5 port on it

    Yes I did...hopefully this will work for you.. Left side of the xbox their is a button beside a USB port. It's the sync button, push that and use the sync button on the front of your controller.. Should work.. If not push the controller one first then the
    box one.

    connect the controller to the console with a USB cable, turn controller on hit the sync button. The controller should sync to the console and you can then disconnect the USB cable. If it doesn't work on one USB port try a different one.

    Three USB ports, 6TB drive plugged into each= 18TB plus onboard 500GB....plenty of room for me...
