xbox one Only device on network that fails to connect without rebooting telstra tg797 router

    Hi.

I am going crazy with the issue of my xbox one being the only device on my network that won't connect without rebooting the router. (telstra tg797)

I have had 2 xbox 360 consoles which never had a problem, but my xbox one s never seems to work.

Before getting this console I almost never reset my router. Now I have to do it every time I turn on my console.

    It's ridiculous.

Surely there is something that can fix this issue.

Yes, I have tried the port mapping and tuning off Upnp. As well as fixing ip addresses and just about any other thing that can be done

But the stupid thing still does it.

I am finding myself not even bothering to turn on a game cause I know it's 15mins before I can play the stupid thing

I am beginning to regret this purchase and curse this stupid console every day

Anyone got any advice (besides buy a PS4 which i probably should have done)

    :)

    Network issues with xbox one.

It sees the network. Under network settings, it grabs ip/dns/subnet from the router's dhcp. it just will not get internet connection even with proper configuration without rebooting the router. Again, every other device plugged into the bridge router works
without problem. It's just xbox one acting up.

xbox not getting on to internet

Hi. Tried this. No luck. Also wired xbox direct with Ethernet Cable to wireless/router router. Xbox connect to network then fails on internet connection. All other devices work fine on the internet.

    wifi and xboxlive connection problem

A 169 IP address is a "APAIPA" address. This means that your xbox see there is a network connection but the DHCP request is failing. Verify that DHCP is turned on in the router. Verify that your WEP key is correct. Reboot your router. Clear all network settings
in the xbox. If still failing, for a temp basis turn off WEP and see if you get connection.

    Hi,

One of the things I would try first is to reboot the router (and or modem) if that is possible for you to do.

And restart any other device connected to that network.

    Error Code Help

vibroplex - the first two tests pass - however it fails on the third when it attempts to connect to live.

Yvonnstrahovski - how can he fix the problem? what is the solution? is it a telstra problem?

something weird also just happened - I connected another router to the telstra modem/gateway and it now connects to live.. obviously not ideal though -
