    I have an Xbox one original which won’t take offline updates but wants me to do an offline update. Any help. Will changing the hard drive or clean formatting it help?

    OSU1 may update needed

    hello if I understood correctly even if it is an xbox which receives the insider updates, once an OSU is more recent than the insider update it is possible to carry out an offline update? my hard drive has just failed and I am in this situation, no way to update offline knowing that I have the very latest version of the insider update. thank you for answering it.

    A workaround might be to install the Insiders app and update to the next preview, if its possible, or Offline install the preview as it fixes 90% of the issues hundreds and thousands of users are describing.

    Hi KirkSimmons,

    sorry to hear. There is also a possibility to
    "Perform an Offline System Update"     but not if your console is a part of the INSIDER Program.

    when will xbox release a offline update for xbox insider hub
    Offline system updates using OSU1 cannot be used on consoles enrolled in a Insider preview.

    OSU1 can only be used on console with the General Availability OS installed.

    There will never be a OSU1 file released for Insider preview OS. The console has to be removed from the Insider program before using offline system updates.
