  1. Xbox One: Offline Update For OS Version 19041.4788 (xbox_dev_2011.201111-0000)?

Hey guys, my Xbox One is getting stuck at a black screen after spending ages on the Xbox One green screen on startup. I have done a hard reset and it didn't work, so now I want to try an offline system update before doing a Factory Reset. I did not see any update files on the Microsoft support site that support my current OS. Can you help me out here? Do I just have to wait for a new offline update to be made or can I do anything else?

Also, if I do the factory reset, will the system automatically recover my saves when I load up the games? I wouldn't mind doing a factory reset if I knew for sure whether I could recover my saves.

    Thanks!

Console is a Original Xbox One

I have tried both offline update and offline factory reset and i can't get the console to do anything.

I have tried the OSU1 update on a both my original 500gb HDD and my 2TB Seagate. Both will read the update start and then fail at 72% overall completion(33 % Installation). I have formatted both drives using the proper script and following the youtube video from the script creator. When trying to boot the console without any sort of USB in place and just the freshly formatted HDD, I am greeted with the installing update screen of where the console got stuck trying to update.

If I try a offline factory reset I get nothing. Going from either option of the troubleshoot menu(Save Data or Delete Data) turns the console off and brings it back to the failed update screen(Console showing it is stuck at 72%). I did try launching the Factory Reset from the Offline Update Menu option and I am greeted with E101 00000504 8B050041.

I need to reset the console some how into not thinking it is doing an update. Or potentially wait longer for another update? I am unsure of this but will continue to try and solve the issue because this is a console I barely put any gaming time on and am unhappy that it is giving such issues.

Wanted to eliminate that the HDD Connector was bad. Took that out of the equation and powered the HDD from a External HDD Reader and a separate SATA cable. Same results freezes during update and then E102 00000C08 8007045D. Funny thing about the Error screen though is that it doesn't give any options on it but just blank. I was under the assumption there is a restart or power off option. If the console stays on long enough they show up without any text but are unselectable.

Really want to know if this thing is bricked or if there is some other thing i am not doing that could lead to a solution.

Trying to install the new xbox one update but it keeps giving me error codes 0x80070570 0x00000000 0x90000005, "There was a problem with the update." Needing help

Hi, if you’re using a regular Xbox OS version and if the offline update doesn’t work unfortunately you need to get the console inspected and repaired

The offline update is always the last resource

    Hi John,

Thanks for the update. Unfortunately, there is nothing like that for Xbox updates. There is no way of downloading the Xbox updates on a PC. Even the offline update is taking console to original OS. It will still need an update afterwards to maintain the
    current version of the OS.

    Thanks,

    Brad

What if I never download system updates?

Yeah, it is what it is. Tough luck I suppose.

Ironic that my fat Xbox-one still runs flawlessly to this day and 95% of the time I've used everything on the internal storage.

What other options do I have apart from the OSU1 system update?

By the way, is there any way to check what version the OSU1 offline update is? On the support page it says that the OS received an update on Aug 13, 2019 - but the OSU1 file I downloaded again on Aug 14 (stupidly assuming that it would have the latest files)
updates the system to the July OS version.

Hasn't MS updated the offline files to the latest Aug 19' OS version, you reckon?

Battlefield 4 going back to home screen during campaign??

It could be the OS, if the last update that was received had a corrupt file in it. Try downloading the latest update for your xbox one again and applying it manually: Browse to support.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool

And, is this a digital version of the game or is was it installed from physical media?

Wrong OS? Plus Kinect issues, etc.

Oh, sorry I got the links mixed up.

    support.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool

Shows how to flash the update. I've since tried it, and it didn't change the OS version to the correct version. There's another thread about this, and it doesn't seem to work correctly for anyone.
