    Xbox One not taking my full download speed?


    My download speed is 20 mbps, or so my xbox tells me, but its only using 1mbps to download gta 5. Ive been at it for nearly 12 hours and its at 60% !!! Did any of you experience something similar?

    The update is taking long depending on the download speed that you have

    Where are you finding out your console's download speed? If in the console's Settings, beware it reports in MB/s, not Mbps (which your ISP uses). So if it was 1-point-something (eg 1.6MB/s) then it's not too far off your actual download speed.

    Also, beware that for many of the past 12 hours there was an Xbox Live issue that was causing issues with downloads on Xbox One, which could have prevented your game from downloading as quickly as it should have been. I would suggest power cycling your console
    (and turning off and on your router) which should clear out any lingering issues. You shouldn't lose any download progress by doing this; I have done this on occasion myself to speed up downloads.

    Question: How many hours will it take for the downloads for Xbox One?

    depends on your DL speed, I think the servers will be far better on Xbox One since they are made for more cloud orientated things.

    On steam it takes me around 30 minutes to download an 8GB file, so I hope for the same on Xbox One, as it takes me about an hour to download a 5GB file on Xbox 360.

    (I use an ethernet cable to get my full internet speed, Xbox One i'll probably use the built in wireless so I bet I only get 40Mbp/s down speed instead of the full 80 I get usually)

    Slow Upload speeds

    I'd like to know an answer to this question also. Same thing is happening to me.

    I have Comcast Extreme 105 down/25 up speed. Getting full 105+ download speed on the Xbox and my PC but only about 3 Mbps upload on the Xbox even though PC speedtest is showing the full 25.

    When I try to Twitch stream, it can barely handle broadcasting in SD, even though I clearly have the speed to be able to do full 1080p HD if the Xbox One would allow my full upload speed to work.

    I have a game stuck in my gamepass downloads queue, which has been removed from the gamepass library a while ago.

    Thank you very much this did fix my download speeds the app seems to be taking full network utilization again.

    Sadly the game is still stuck on my Xbox gamepass queue.
