Xbox One not recognizing USB Webcam when plugged in.

So, for some reason, my Xbox One doesn't know I have a webcam plugged in. When I do plug it in, it just doesn't recognize it and the prompt still tells me to plug in a webcam. This webcam has worked before and still is working as I tested it out
on my PC. Other USB devices (such as expanded hard drives) continue to work.

That webcam model should be supported by the console. Have you tried to delete the cache by performing a power cycle (turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for 10 secs)?
If it doesn't work, most likely the driver isn't recognized, so you can try to

restore the console by selecting the "Reset and keep my games & apps" option. Let us know!

Unfortunately, I cannot test out the webcam on a Console with a different build.

Hi!

The console supports many USB webcam models. I also tried on a Hercules and it still works. When you connect the webcam, does the power LED work? Have you tried to connect the webcam to another USB port?

Also, try to check your privacy settings and verify this setting: Privacy&online safety->Xbox Live privacy->View details&customize->Game content

Options under Game content include:
- You can share game clips and screenshots;
- Others can see your game clips and screenshots;
- You can see and upload community creations;
- You can broadcast gameplay;
- You can share content made using Kinect or another camera.

And what I think some updates don't make your webcam available anymore. Can I know what brand it is?
